The Supreme Court of India has directed YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia to cooperate with the investigation of the cases filed against him. The top court also stayed the matter of his arrest until further notice.
The matter was heard by a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh passed the interim order and issued a notice to the respondents on the petition filed by Allahbadia against the multiple FIRs against him.
The apex court further added that no additional FIR shall be filed against the YouTuber or against the comedy show.
The SC also stated that the interim protection of no arrest is subject to Allahbadia's cooperation for the investigation, adding that the 31-year-old may approach police for protection against threats.

Describing his language as "dirty" and "perverted", the Sc also slammed Abhnav Chandrachud, the counsel for Allahbadia and son of former CJO DY Chandrachud, for defending this kind of language.

However, Justice Surya Kant responded - "If this is not obscenity, then what is obscenity? Is the judgment [in Apoorva Arora case] a license to say whatever you want?"
"There is something very dirty in his mind, which has been vomited by him in the program...He is insulting parents also. Why should the Courts favour him?," said Justice Kant.
